Trust & calling practices
This page is not buried and it is not written by a lawyer to be unreadable. If you are going to let us telephone your customers, you should know precisely what we do.
We only ever call someone who just telephoned the business, about their own enquiry, within minutes.
That is the whole basis of this product. We do not buy lists, we do not call people who have not contacted you, and there is no configuration in Sip2Me that would let us.
Every rescue call is a reply to an inbound call that reached your business and went unanswered, usually within the previous three minutes.
Your business is named in the first sentence, before anything else is said.
Someone who doesn't answer, or answers and doesn't press 1, is not called again about that missed call.
In the caller's own region, not ours. A call missed at 8pm waits.
Once a number opts out it is never called again, by any part of the system, for any business.
No number, no context, no call.
No lists, no prospecting, no calls to anyone who did not contact the business themselves.
A rescue call asks for one keypress. It cannot collect anything.
The demonstration call
When you ask us to demonstrate Sip2Me on your own phone, we text a short code to that number first. The call is placed only after the code is entered.
This matters more than it looks. Without it, anyone could type a stranger's number into a form and have us ring them — which is exactly the behaviour this product exists not to be. The number is used for that one demonstration, rate-limited, and not retained afterwards.
What is recorded
The caller's number, when they rang, when we rang back, and whether they asked for a callback. That record is what makes the service useful to the business and auditable by us.
We do not record the content of the rescue call. There is nothing to record — the caller hears a message and presses a key or doesn't.
One business's callers are visible only to that business. The console enforces this on the server, and no page on this site can reach a customer's records.
Held permanently and deliberately. An opt-out is the one record we will not delete, because deleting it would mean calling that person again.
Questions about how we treat a specific number should go to the business that was called, or to us directly. Both routes work.
